Our Apprenticeship Program, is committed to molding the next generation of Skilled Journeymen roofers equipped with a diverse set of skills vital for the industry. Our apprentices delve into various roofing techniques, including single-ply systems like TPO, PVC, EDM, and traditional methods such as built-up roofing and torch modified bitumen. They learn the art and science of installing shingles, tiles, slate, and metal flashings. A critical part of our training is focused on waterproofing, where apprentices develop expertise in vapor barriers and effective techniques to prevent and manage water intrusion in buildings. These skills are vital for ensuring the integrity and longevity of structures. Our apprentices are also educated on the latest practices in above and below grade repairs and maintenance. Throughout the program, they not only gain technical knowledge but also develop a keen understanding of safety, quality, and sustainable practices, crucial for their future roles in the roofing industry. This hands-on training, coupled with real-world experience gained while employed, equips our apprentices to confidently tackle the challenges of the roofing profession and excel in their careers."

Description Of The Trade: Working on Pitched Roofs, Slope, and all types of Roofs. Handling roofing material, hot tar kettle's, tankers, torches etc. Must be physically able to perform the work of the trade, working outdoors in temperatures excess of 100 degrees. Willing to work at very extreme heights, to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

 

Number of Openings: This program may have limited number of openings, may only accept applications periodically, or may be temporarily inactive.

Minimum Qualifications:

AGE- 18 years of age

INTERVIEW- Will be evaluated based on Oral Interview, Math Test and previous experiences

EDUCATIONS- High School Diploma or GED equivalent highly recommended but not required 

HEALTH- Physically fit for the work of the trade

Roofing Apprentices are employed by most of the Roofing Contractors they work both Commercial and Residential Roofing.
